G1.ca was founded to solve a simple problem: too many Ontarians were studying lengthy PDF handbooks, failing their knowledge tests, and entering traffic unprepared. We built a better way - plain-English practice questions based directly on the official Ontario Driver's Handbook, verified for accuracy by our editorial team.
Since 2010, over 4.6 million learners have used G1.ca to prepare for their G1 test. Our materials follow a rigorous editorial process and are updated whenever the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario revises its handbook or regulations.
How we maintain accuracy
Every question is verified against the Ontario Driver's Handbook, Highway Traffic Act, and Ontario Traffic Manual. We never rely on third-party summaries or unofficial materials.
Our Chief Educational Researcher, Steven Litvintchouk, M.S., leads the editorial review of all practice test content. Steven holds degrees from MIT and Columbia University and is a member of ACES: The Society for Editing.
We monitor MTO publications weekly. When changes are detected, affected questions are reviewed and updated within the same week. Our full methodology is publicly available.
G1.ca is operated by Elegant E-Learning, Inc., a Canadian education company founded in 2010. Our mission is to improve first-time driver safety through accessible, accurate test preparation.
We operate a network of driver education platforms - including Driving-Tests.org, Tests.ca, and TopTests - that have helped over 26 million learners in multiple countries earn their licences. Our resources are used by more than 2,000 public libraries, schools, and road-safety organisations.
All G1.ca content is delivered ad-free and privacy-first. We reinvest in tools that turn static rules into practical knowledge - because safer roads start with better-prepared drivers.
